Small business is what America is really all about. Supporting your local business is a benefit in many ways, mainly it offers jobs for local people. However, it is also so nice to be able to walk in to your local handmade ski maker and see the skis you are going to rip around on being made. If you are going green, you cannot beat buying your skis from the guy who makes them. I have ridden an a variety of differnet Praxis Skis. Currently I have the Mountain Jib for everyday that isn't a powder day. The Powder Boards for, you know, powder days and a pair of the Praxis Backcountry mounted with the Dynafit FT12's. They are great boards with increadibly strong bases and sidewalls that last through seasons of rock abuse. If you are riding at Squaw or Alpine Meadows, you will most likely see a few of these boards around on the local rippers. Check them out if you are in the Tahoe area: http://praxisskis.com |
